Volunteers are being sought for the BEPN to take part in the Great Shake Out Disaster drill on October 16th. Prior to the exercise, the city will conduct a three hour training to prepare for the exercise.
This training describes the role, design, and functions of Emergency Operations Centers (EOC) and their relationships as components of a multi-agency coordination system.
The training offers disaster-related examples, activities and case studies that relate to EOC's and multi-agency coordination systems at the local, state and federal levels of government.
We will conduct a low stress table top exercise to practice some of the concepts. This will include handheld radio training, with time permitting.
