Whittier Host Lions Club Announces Upcoming Sight Fair to Provide Free Vision Screenings and Support

The Whittier Host Lions Club is proud to announce its upcoming Sight Fair on Saturday, June 20, 2026, a community event dedicated to helping individuals and families receive access to free vision screenings, recycled eyeglasses, and helpful resources.
The Sight Fair will be held at the YMCA Uptown Whittier, located at 12510 Hadley Street in Whittier, CA. The event will begin at 8:00 AM and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to anticipated attendance, guests are encouraged to arrive early.
The Sight Fair is open to all ages, and no ID is required.
For years, the Whittier Host Lions Club has been committed to serving the community through vision-related programs, recycled eyeglass collection, screenings, and referrals. The club’s mission is rooted in helping those who may not otherwise have access to basic vision care.
“Vision care can change someone’s quality of life, and sometimes all it takes is one screening or one pair of glasses to make a real difference,” said Steven Rosas, Sight and Hearing Chair for the Whittier Host Lions Club. “Our Sight Fair is about serving people with dignity, kindness, and the gift of sight.”
The event will include vision screenings and support from volunteers, community partners, and Lions Club members. Recycled glasses may be available while supplies last, and guests may also receive referrals when additional care is needed.
The Whittier Host Lions Club encourages community members, local organizations, and families to help spread the word to anyone who may benefit from this free event.
