The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has recognized PIH Health and PIH Health Physicians as 2026 Digital Health Most Wired recipients for the 13th consecutive year. The Digital Health Most Wired Survey is an internationally recognized benchmarking program that honors excellence in digitally enabled healthcare.
PIH Health was awarded Certified Level 8 for Acute Care settings, recognizing all three hospitals—
PIH Health Downey Hospital, PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital, and PIH Health Whittier Hospital.
PIH Health Physicians received a Certified Level 8 for Ambulatory settings.
“We are proud to once again receive CHIME’s Digital Health Most Wired Award,” said PIH Health Chief Information Officer Jason Fischer. “Receiving this recognition for the 13th year in a row reflects our ongoing commitment to using innovative technology to enhance patient care. As healthcare continues to evolve, we remain focused on investing in innovative digital solutions that support our healthcare teams, improve efficiency, and provide a safer, more connected experience for the patients and communities we serve.”
Among the more than 44,000 facilities represented, PIH Health ranked above peers in key focus areas including clinical quality and safety, analytics and data management, cybersecurity, population health, infrastructure, patient engagement, and innovation. The survey evaluates the adoption maturity, outcomes, and value of technology integration across healthcare organizations at all stages of digital maturity—from early phase digitization to advanced transformation.
As healthcare organizations face growing cybersecurity threats, evolving care models, workforce shortages, and financial pressures, digital transformation is more important than ever. Emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, interoperable data, and secure digital infrastructure, are reshaping how healthcare is delivered. Successfully navigating these advancements requires continued investment, strategic planning, and a strong commitment to innovation.
The Digital Health Most Wired Survey serves as a comprehensive evaluation and digital maturity report card for healthcare organizations around the world. As digital transformation increasingly shapes the quality and accessibility of care, this recognition reflects the progress of leading providers as they reshape the future of healthcare. The achievement extends beyond information technology to every area of the enterprise, reflecting a collective commitment to advancing healthcare through strategic digital initiatives.
