About Us

The original Dal Rae was opened in 1951, moved to its current location in Pico Rivera in 1958, and is now long known as an LA institution. It has built a reputation of excellence and a loyal customer base that has been dining there for generations. Owners Kevin and Lorin Smith grew up in the business and continue to take pride in serving only the highest quality products, including flying-in aged prime beef from the Midwest and using only the choicest fresh caught seafood from around the world. The Dal Rae is also one of the few restaurants that still makes the classics tableside for your enjoyment, like Caesar Salad, Steak Diane and Bananas Foster. Updated items like the Ahi Sashimi on Toast and fresh, sautéed Morro Bay abalone have become popular additions to the timeless menu.

At the Dal Rae, people enjoy being recognized and treated as special guests; not as a number. “We are so different from the ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ restaurants that make up so much of the restaurant scene,” says owner Kevin Smith. “There is great live entertainment and a real high energy vibe to our restaurant.” So the next time you plan to go out, come by and experience the Dal Rae difference!
