About Us

''AtWork For You''

For more than 30 years, AtWork has helped entrepreneurs realize their dreams of business ownership and financial freedom. Our owners are one of the largest providers of contingent and permanent workforce solutions in the country. With over 100 locations in 30 states, we put over 40,000 people to work each year, helping people build careers and growing local economies.

Formed in 1986 by John Hall and franchising since 1992, the Knoxville-based franchise has built profitable staffing franchises under one of the industry’s most recognizable brands. Hall first grew the company to eleven offices across East Tennessee and opened the first franchise location in Decatur, Alabama.

AtWork offices cater predominantly to the light industrial and office/clerical marketplace. In addition, we support companies by filling key leadership roles through our Direct Hire program. Today, at over 100 AtWork offices, we are supporting communities by helping job seekers find employment and businesses recruit talent.

Our mission to be “AtWork For You” is not just a slogan – it is a promise. We promise to put in the hard work, day in and day out, connecting people with jobs and jobs with people. We promise to listen, understand and anticipate needs to create a positive impact. That impact creates a ripple effect where employees thrive, businesses prosper and communities flourish
