The "Derby" may be in Kentucky, but the SFS Chamber/League Youth Enrichment Fund is celebrating the race in style!  The Destiny Derby which will be held at Santa Anita Park will allow people to dress up, bid on silent auction items, eat a delicious dinner and have a good time all while raising money to benefit the Chamber's youth programs.

This year's event, "The Destiny Derby" will be a festive evening.  There will be a hat contest where "Derby Hats"  and "Bow Ties" will be judged on creativity and originality.  In addition to games, dinner, dancing and the "Springs Julep" (our version of the traditional mint julep), there will be music provided by the EV Trio.  Guests will also be able to bid on more than 50 silent auction items including tickets to next season's "Dancing with the Stars", an afternoon of sailing, a Kindle, golf foursomes, several getaway packages, tickets to sporting events, wine baskets and more.  Highlighting the evening will be the "Derby Drawing" where one lucky individual will win $500.  (Tickets are $5.00 each or 6 for $25 and can be purchased at the Chamber office or through Ambassadors - winner need not be present).

It may not be Churchill Downs, but the "Destiny Derby" will be an event not to miss. Proceeds from the evening will be used for college scholarships, mentoring programs, CHOICES, and other programs for the youth of Santa Fe Springs.  abd itgerandand otand oth
