The Citizen of the Year Awards is an annual celebration, honoring volunteers in the residential and business communities of Santa Fe Springs. 
 
These individuals have donated their time, resources  and talents to Santa Fe Springs and have made it a better place to live and work. They may volunteer in their church, at a local school, in service clubs or on a city committee or with the chamber of commerce.  It seems that no matter how busy they are, they will always lend a hand when one is needed.
