Membership Manager

The Santa Fe Springs Chamber of Commerce Membership Manager recruits, retains, and engages members by overseeing daily operations, implementing recruitment/retention strategies, managing databases, attending events, and handling member communications, ensuring satisfaction and alignment with organizational goals all while driving growth and value for the Chamber. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Growth: 
Perform active outreach to businesses in Santa Fe Springs to communicate the Chamber value proposition to develop new memberships with the Chamber.
Retention & Engagement: 
Implement initiatives to keep current members active and foster strong relationships. 
Database Management: 
Maintain accurate member records and generate reports. 
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills:

  • Strong communication (written & verbal) skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM/membership databases preferred.
  • Customer-focused mindset with empathy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • 3-4 years of sales experience in B2B or membership environment with demonstrated record of achieving assigned sales goals.
  • Participation in member events and meetings that sometimes occur in the evening and early morning.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact and professionalism in dealing with staff and the public.
  • Perform basic mathematical computations.
