Rose Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary will host its fifth annual Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day observance with a veterans resource fair, barbecue and homeless veterans memorial service and concert. The event, which begins at 2:30 p.m. and takes place at SkyRose Chapel, will have a theme of ?Connecting Heroes from Vietnam to Afghanistan and Iraq?. More than 50 businesses and organizations will be present to serve the veteran community at the resource fair, which will also feature a silent drill team and musical performances by Two or More, a local Ecuadorian-American band that has been compared to Santana. Proceeds from the barbecue will benefit local veterans charities, and a clothing drive will also be held to support Working Wardrobes ? a local nonprofit empowering people to find jobs they love. The event will conclude with a homeless veterans memorial service concert. For more details, please call Phyllis Grabot, (805) 341-7269.
