County of Los Angeles Business Forums on Potential Minimum Wage Increase

Business Forums on a Potential Minimum Wage Increase in Unincorporated Areas of Los Angeles County
Dear Business Owner:
The Department of Consumer and Business Affairs (DCBA) is conducting Business Forums throughout the County to gather input on a potential minimum wage increase. We need comments about the potential minimum wage increase from businesses in the unincorporated areas of the County.
To better understand the impact of a possible minimum wage increase, the Board of Supervisors (Board) asked the County to conduct a study on the impact of a minimum wage increase in the County unincorporated areas and to receive input from businesses potentially affected by an increase. DCBA will be conducting Business Forums in the unincorporated areas of the County and will provide the input of business owners to the Board.
The current minimum wage in Los Angeles County is $9.00 an hour as set by State law. Recently, there have been a number of research reports highlighting the impact of increasing the minimum wage. As the County explores the possibility of adopting a new minimum wage ordinance, we would like to hear directly from you, the business owners, about the effect a minimum wage increase may have on your business.
We invite you to attend a Business Forum and share your comments on the following dates:
