The elimination of redevelopment has fundamentally changed the role of the City in economic development. Their inability to "do deals" has an impact on the role of the brokerage community. Nonetheless, their goals remain the same; the City wants to see high quality, job producing, revenue generating developments. The brokerage community  wants to be the facilitators of successful projects.
